 According to GSHAP data,
the state of Bihar lies in a region with moderate to low to high
seismic hazard. As
per the 2002 Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) map, this state also
falls in Zones III, IV & V. Historically, this region has
experienced earthquake in the M5.0-7.0 range. This map can
